Google Shopping management for regulated and high-risk stores. iComChain runs Google Shopping, Performance Max and AI Max campaigns for supplement, research-peptide, health and dropshipping brands where the main risk is not the bid but the policy. We engineer the feed, structure the campaigns to your catalog size, monitor Merchant Center for policy drift every week, and treat a suspension as an operational event with a playbook, not a surprise.

Who this Google Shopping management service is for
Most Google Shopping agencies are built for apparel, home goods and electronics: categories where the feed is straightforward and the only question is how hard to push the target ROAS. Our clients are different. They sell products Google looks at twice.
- Supplement brands whose listings get disapproved for “unapproved pharmaceuticals or supplements” or whose Merchant Center is flagged for misrepresentation after a landing-page change.
- Research-peptide and other research-use-only (RUO) sellers who need strictly scientific copy, mandatory research-use disclaimers and no medical, dosage or treatment language anywhere in the funnel.
- Health, wellness and personal-care stores running products that sit close to a restricted category and need every attribute and policy page aligned before scaling spend.
- Dropshipping and multi-supplier stores where shipping times, return policies and business identity have to be consistent across the site and the account, or trust review fails.
- Established stores already spending on Shopping or Performance Max that have hit a plateau, an ad-limited account, or a wave of disapprovals they cannot explain.
If your store is in a low-risk category and simply wants cheaper clicks, plenty of agencies can help. If your store is one policy update away from losing its Shopping traffic, that is what we are set up for.
What is included
Feed engineering
The product feed is where regulated Shopping accounts are won or lost. We rebuild titles, descriptions, product types and Google product categories so they describe the product accurately in Google’s terms, not the marketing team’s terms. For restricted products that means correct category mapping, accurate identifiers, disclaimer-consistent descriptions, custom labels for margin and compliance tiers, and supplemental feeds so we can update attributes without touching your store platform. We also match price, availability, shipping and tax between the feed, the landing page and the checkout, because mismatches there are the fastest route to a misrepresentation flag.
Campaign structure by catalog size
There is no single right answer to “Standard Shopping or Performance Max?” The right structure depends on how many SKUs you have, how much conversion data you generate, and how much control you need over what Google is allowed to say and show.
- Small catalogs (under roughly 50 SKUs): Standard Shopping with tightly segmented product groups, manual negatives and clear query control. You see every search term and can keep the account away from medical or off-label queries.
- Mid-size catalogs: a hybrid. Standard Shopping for hero products and brand terms, Performance Max asset groups for the long tail, with feed-only asset groups where creative auto-generation is a compliance risk.
- Large catalogs: Performance Max as the volume engine, segmented by margin and compliance label, with brand exclusions, placement exclusions and search-theme guardrails. AI Max for Search is added where query expansion is acceptable and the landing pages are already compliant.
Across all three, we build in a brand-search layer, a non-brand high-intent layer and remarketing, so Shopping is never the only thing keeping the account alive.
Compliance monitoring
Merchant Center policy enforcement is automated and ongoing. A landing-page template change, a new supplier’s product copy or a checkout plugin update can trigger disapprovals days later. We monitor item-level disapprovals, account-level warnings, policy-centre notices and landing-page crawl errors, and we pre-review new products and copy against Google’s policies before they go live.
Weekly anomaly checks
Every week we check for the things that quietly destroy regulated accounts: sudden impression drops on core products, disapproval spikes, feed-fetch failures, price mismatches, budget pacing, search-term drift into restricted queries, and Performance Max spend leaking into low-quality placements. Small problems get fixed before they become an account-level issue.
Monthly review
Once a month you get a plain-English review: what changed, what it did to revenue and ROAS, what we are testing next, what compliance risks we see coming, and where budget should move. Reporting is by product group and campaign type, not a single blended number.
How we work
- Diagnose. We audit the Merchant Center account, the feed, the campaigns and the site’s policy pages together. In regulated categories the account, the site and the feed are one system, and a problem in any of them shows up as a Shopping problem.
- Strategy. You receive a written, prioritised playbook: what to fix first, what to scale, what to kill. It includes the campaign structure we recommend for your catalog size and the compliance work that has to be done before spend goes up.
- Execute. We rebuild the feed, restructure or launch campaigns, set up conversion tracking that survives consent and cookie changes, and put monitoring in place.
- Scale. Budget increases are tied to stable approval status and profitable product groups. We scale what is working, expand into new campaign types when the data supports it, and keep the compliance layer running underneath.
Generic Shopping agency vs iComChain
| Area | Generic Shopping agency | iComChain |
|---|---|---|
| Policy pre-review | Products are uploaded and disapprovals are handled as they come. | New products, copy and landing pages are checked against Merchant Center and Ads policies before they are submitted. |
| Feed attributes for restricted products | Default platform feed with keyword-stuffed titles. | Category mapping, disclaimer-consistent descriptions, identifiers, custom labels and supplemental feeds built for supplement, peptide and health catalogs. |
| Suspension response | Pause spend and submit a generic appeal. | Root-cause diagnosis, site and account fixes, documented appeal; reinstatement is typically 7–14 days in our managed accounts. |
| Reporting | Blended ROAS dashboard. | Product-group and campaign-type performance plus a compliance status section and weekly anomaly log. |
Results
We do not guarantee outcomes, because in regulated categories nobody honestly can. What we can show is what has been achieved in our managed accounts: 5× ROAS on paid, a $1,000+ average order value for US research peptides, and a cost per conversion under $50. One US brand went from $0 to roughly $4M per month in about 22 months on a compliant Shopping, Search and Performance Max stack. A UK brand went from a suspended Merchant Center to £1M+ per month in about 14 months, reinstated first and then scaled. Your numbers will depend on your margins, catalog and starting point, and we will give you a realistic projection on the first call.
Pricing
Google Shopping management packages start at $1,500 and scale with ad budget and catalog complexity. The fee covers feed engineering, campaign management across Standard Shopping, Performance Max and AI Max, compliance monitoring, weekly anomaly checks and the monthly review. If your Merchant Center is currently suspended, reinstatement is a separate flat $1,500 engagement, and if you want to check your own site first, the Merchant Center Suspension Audit tool is $149.

Frequently asked questions
Should I run Standard Shopping or Performance Max?
It depends on catalog size, conversion volume and how much control you need. Small catalogs and restricted categories usually do better on Standard Shopping first, because you can see every search term and exclude anything that drifts towards medical or off-label intent. Larger catalogs with steady conversion data benefit from Performance Max as the volume engine, with feed-only asset groups where auto-generated creative would be a compliance risk. Most of our managed accounts end up with a hybrid, and the structure changes as the data matures.
Can supplement brands run Google Shopping?
Yes, within policy. Google restricts specific ingredients and prohibits health claims in ads and on landing pages, but compliant supplement products can be listed and advertised. The work is in mapping products to the correct categories, keeping descriptions free of prohibited claims, and making sure business, shipping and returns information matches across the site and the account. Brands selling ingredients on Google’s unapproved list cannot advertise those SKUs, and we will tell you that up front.
What does shopping feed optimisation involve?
Rewriting titles and descriptions so they match how people search and how Google classifies products, assigning accurate Google product categories and product types, fixing identifiers, adding custom labels for margin and compliance tiers, matching price and availability with the landing page, and using supplemental feeds so attributes can be updated without redeploying the store. For restricted products it also means making sure nothing in the feed contradicts the disclaimers on the site.
How fast can you start?
The diagnosis and written playbook are usually delivered within the first week after access is granted. Feed and campaign changes begin immediately afterwards. If the account is healthy, new campaign structures are typically live within two to three weeks; if there are outstanding disapprovals or a suspension, those are resolved first.
What if my Merchant Center is already suspended?
We start with reinstatement rather than campaign management. It is a flat $1,500 engagement: we diagnose the root cause, fix the site and account issues behind the flag, and submit a documented appeal. In our managed accounts reinstatement typically takes 7–14 days. No one can guarantee Google will reinstate an account, and we will not tell you otherwise, but the fix-first approach is what has worked repeatedly. Once the account is live, Shopping management picks up from there.
Do you work with dropshipping stores?
Yes, provided the store is willing to meet Google’s expectations on shipping times, returns and business identity. Dropshipping accounts most often fail trust review because of unrealistic delivery estimates, missing contact details or return policies that do not match what customers experience. We fix those first, then treat the store like any other regulated account.
